DEBRIEFING

Debriefing is a process of training games which is designed and managed to assess the impacts of different activities conducted during the programs.
Debriefing helps the trainer understand the purpose of the game and maximize the impact of each training game. During the debriefing, a trainer facilitates a conversation and reflection about what took place during the game and then have the participants relate observations and insights from the game to the context. Usually questions are asked to participants to connect lessons and activities they learned in a program to the real life experiences. It is a very important piece of programming and learning as a whole.

Why use?
Without a debriefing, participants cannot reflect on their experiences and relate them to the outside world, then a lot of the learning may be lost.
